Kellie Santjer reviewed a book with her children at Bonner Elementary School on Friday evening, March 2. Santjer, a third-grade teacher at Bear Cave Intermediate School, read The Little Red Cat Who Ran Away and Learned His ABC's (the Hard Way), to her sons, Owen, 7, and Abe, 4. The Santjers joined hundreds of other parents and children at Bonner's annual Literacy Night, an event that emphasizes the importance of reading and offered a variety of fun activities, including a Cash Cab, "Night at the Improv," guest reader Kevin Torgerson, Olmsted County sheriff, and many others.
