Sue Edge is closing the book on her career as an associate librarian at the Stewartville Public Library.
Edge, who has worked at the Library five years, is retiring from her position effective Friday, Oct. 1.
"I need to spend more time at home," she said. "I'm switching my focus to family, farming and fun. I'm needed more at home."
She loved her time at the Library. The best part, she said, was meeting the people who stopped by.
"I've gotten to know a lot of really great people," she said. "I'll miss the patrons."
The Stewartville Public Library enhances the community, she said.
"It's a meeting place," she said. "It just adds so much, with all the activities the Library does now, it's the new, modern version of the Library."
Before starting her work at the Library, she worked 32 years at a child care facility in Rochester, currently known as the Good News Children's Center. She wore many hats there, including classroom teacher, janitor, cook and more...
