Stewart the Tiger tried Bonner Elementary School's Sensory Path for the first time last week.
Stewart, otherwise known as Kara Sauter, an administrative assistant at Bonner, provided the school's students a video step-by-step demonstration how to complete the path.
As Stewart hopped and walked on the sensory path, his blood was pumping through his body, said Zane McInroy, Bonner's principal.
"Sometimes students need a break from academics, and the Sensory Path is an excellent way to release extra energy in a more controlled, supportive environment," he said. "Making it to the end shows determination and accomplishment of a job well done."
The Stewartville School District purchased and installed two sensory paths during the summer. The two identical paths are at opposite ends of the school...
