The owners of a child care center scheduled to open in the Schumann Business Park this fall have asked for a tax abatement from the city of Stewartville. Patrick and Krystal Campbell, who will own Sprouts Childcare & Early Childhood Center, are seeking an abatement not to exceed $100,000 for 10 years. The City Council, at its Tuesday, March 13 meeting, agreed to schedule a public hearing to give local residents a chance to comment on the issue.
