Nadine Christie has won the top prize in the annual Lions Club Peace Poster Contest at Stewartville Middle School.
Nora Fordahl placed second and Cora Johnson was third among the SMS sixth graders who took part in the contest for the 2021-22 school year.
Dave Nystuen, a member of the Stewartville Lions Club and the retired, former principal of Bonner Elementary School, spoke to the sixth graders and their teachers at a program at the Middle School on Friday, Nov. 12, saying the Peace Poster Contest is a wonderful opportunity for the participants to learn about peace, tolerance and international understanding...
