Two special guests worked out with the children at Bonner Elementary School on Thursday, Feb. 22. Mayor Jimmie-John King and Stewartville School Board Chairman Todd Emanuel were on hand for the school's Jump Rope For Heart event, an annual effort to raise money for the American Heart Association. The two visited a second-grade class that included Emmit King, the mayor's grandson. Mayor King, a heart attack survivor, spoke to the students after the workout, which lasted almost an hour.
