2/7/2018 8:37:00 AM Celebration of Life for Grant Larson to be held this summer
Grant S. Larson, 60, of rural Stewartville, died on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, of natural causes at his home.
Grant Steffen Larson was born on Jan. 6, 1958 in Rochester, to Ernest and Frances (Stevens) Larson. He grew up on the family farm, attended Stewartville schools, graduating from Stewartville High School in 1976. He was a lifelong farmer who joined his parents with the family farm operation as a young man. He operated the Larson farm (homesteaded in 1861) until present and lived there his entire life. He was a member of East St. Olaf Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. Grant enjoyed softball, bowling, fishing, hunting, and following the Vikings with his friends. He especially enjoyed fishing trips to Northern Minnesota with his buddies in the winter and summer. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sisters and their families.
Grant is survived by his brother, Bradley (Kathryn) of Eau Claire, Wis.; his sisters, Phyllis Sorensen of Wabasha, and Beverly (Gary) Lintvedt of San Diego, Cal. He will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Garret Sorensen, Caia (Kevin) Hoglund, Lydia, Ruby and Georgette; Brek Larson, Mikkel (Sabrina) Larson, Lane (Jillian) Larson, Steffen and Josie, and Inga Lintvedt (Jeff Michalowski), Silas and Clio, and Karl Lintvedt.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Clayton Larson.
A Celebration of Grant's Life will take place this summer in Stewartville at a date yet to be determined. A second obituary with times and date will be shared in the paper and online prior to the celebration of Grant's life.
