That day, Jayceon was playing on the school’s basketball court when he spotted his friend Donye in a very bad way.

As NBC reports, the little boy was dangerously choking on a cereal bar stuck in his throat.

The scene was filmed last week by the elementary school’s CCTV cameras. In these images, Jayceon can be seen rescuing his classmate.

In an interview with WRAL-TV, the budding first-aider explains that he learned how to do it “by watching YouTube”.

Donye’s mother, meanwhile, thanked the schoolboy for saving her son’s life:

“I’m just grateful that Jayceon was able to apply this technique,” she told WRAL.
