The newly forming Stewartville Tiger dance team will soon bring its high-kicking routines to many local sports events. The Stewartville School Board, at a meeting last February, unanimously approved a recommendation from Tim Malone, athletic director, to start the dance group. The School Board OK'd the program with the stipulation that Malone hire a full-time coach and that the Stewartville School District pay $1,250 every five years for new uniforms. "I think the head coach is not going to be an issue," Malone said at the time. "I have someone busting down my door to be the coach." Meet the coach: Chelsea Lockrem, the coach who was breaking down Malone's door, has three years of experience as a head dance coach and one year as an assistant at Wabasha-Kellogg High School. Megan Fay, the assistant coach, was a long-time head dance coach at Dover-Eyota High School. Lockrem has been interested in dance since she was a young girl...
