Stewartville's Business Professionals of America (BPA) students are headed for state in a uniquely impressive way.
All 28 of the Stewartville High School students who took part in the Jan. 9 BPA regional competition at RCTC in Rochester have qualified for the State BPA Leadership Conference to be held in Minneapolis March 5-7.
At the Rochester event, Stewartville's students went head-to-head with 233 other regional competitors. The competition included nearly 60 events in finance, business administration, management information systems, digital communication and design, management, marketing and communication.
Katie Morlock, Stewartville's BPA advisor, said she's proud of each and every one of her BPA students. They all worked hard to earn a place at state, she said.
"As a chapter, it is quite an accomplishment to have all 28 students moving on to the state competition," she said...
