"Flash Gordon The Musical": a full-blown comedy

Where does the time go?”

Zany, tongue-in-cheek humor will be on full display when Stewartville Community Theatre presents Flash Gordon The Musical at the Stewartville High School Performing Arts Center beginning this Friday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m.
"It's very definitely a full-blown comedy at the pace of the old comic strips from the 1930s," said Aaron Rocklyn, the play's director. "There is constant humor and adventure. It's joke after joke, and everything is high speed."
The plot focuses on Emperor Ming, who wants to rule the Earth. He sets his goal in motion by attacking the Earth with his propaganda.
"We're only able to send one rocket with three people to stop him, so Flash Gordon is going to have to perform a miracle," Rocklyn said...
