Jo Johnson will celebrate her 50th anniversary at the Stewartville Care Center on Friday, April 29. She works in restorative nursing, walking the hallways with Care Center residents such as Jim Sobek, left.
Ready to celebrate 50 years working at the Stewartville Care Center, Jo Johnson took a short break to enjoy the memories. Proud to have worked at the Center that many years, she still enjoys coming to work to see the residents and the staff. She was born in Wabasha and grew up in Plainview, where she graduated from Plainview High School in 1962. Soon after finishing high school, she began working at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. "I worked at St. Marys 10 years before I started here," she said. "I did it right out of high school. I worked there from 1962 to 1972, and then I came here in 1972."
