Since retiring from the Mayo Clinic, Frank Weber has kept himself busy serving others. At the Stewartville Civic Center last week, Mayor Jimmie-John King gave Weber a token of the city's appreciation. King, the master of ceremonies for the city's annual awards and recognition event, presented Weber with the Mayor's Award for Community Service on Wednesday evening, Dec. 11. King introduced the evening's guest of honor, saying that Weber grew up in Stewartville, played football and basketball and ran track at Stewartville High School, graduated from SHS, worked at the Mayo Clinic for 40 years and is a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Weber and his wife, Jean, who have been married 55 years, have four children and seven grandchildren, the mayor said.
