Due to safety concerns, the Stewartville Kiwanis Club has cancelled its plans to host a rescheduled Food for Kidz food-packaging event for the poor on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Concerned about the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic last March, the local club postponed its 17th annual Food for Kidz, traditionally held in the spring. The event had been scheduled to be held at the Stewartville Civic Center on Saturday, April 4.
Mary Brouillard of the Kiwanis Club, co-chair of Food for Kidz, said at the time that the club would try to reschedule the event for the fall. But Brouillard sent an email last week indicating that continuing COVID-19 concerns had ended the club's hopes for a rescheduled event...
