With the coming of December, city offiicals once again remind local residents to move their parked vehicles off the streets whenever the city of Stewartville declares a snow emergency. Doing so will allow public works employees such as Jake Burzinski, above, to plow the city’s streets more safely and efficiently. With the coming of December, it's time for Stewartville's residents to be ready for snow.
Cheryl Roeder, city clerk, has once again reminded local residents to move their vehicles off the streets whenever the city of Stewartville declares a snow emergency.
"The snow emergency usually will be called when snow is predicted so residents can plan to have their vehicles removed from the streets," Roeder said in a recent Stewartville STAR advertisement. "No vehicles are allowed to be parked on the streets when an emergency has been called."
When residents remove their vehicles from the streets, city crews are able to plow the roads more safely and efficiently, Roeder said...
