Uptagrafft is the coach of the Stewartville-Grand Meadow High School bowling team that won the Class A State Varsity Championship on Saturday, Jan. 16.
Stewartville team members included Maddie Kropp, captain, along with Dawson Peterson, Payton Rowley and Remington Bamlet.
Uptagrafft, speaking to the Stewartville School Board at a recent meeting, said this year's state championship competition was different than in years past, with three bowlers from each team competing rather than five, as has been the tradition in the past...
