A Rochester man accused of throwing a cash register through the window of a Stewartville barbershop-salon has been charged with criminal damage to property, three counts of assault, disorderly conduct and fleeing a police officer on foot.
Nicholas Link, 41, will face the charges after an incident that began along North Main Street and ended at the City Center parking lot.
Olmsted County Sheriff's deputies responded to a property-damage accident at the 100 block of North Main Street in Stewartville on Tuesday, June 15 at about 8:30 a.m., Capt. Scott Behrns said in an emailed news release.
Upon his arrival, a deputy learned a 57-year-old from Maplewood, Minn. driving southbound at the 100 block of North Main Street saw a green Mazda heading northbound in the southbound lane directly at him, Behrns said...
