The Stewartville Civic Center will soon have a brand new floor. The City Council unanimously agreed last week to hire CFS Contractors of Winona to replace the building's tile floor in the main room, hallways and kitchen. The city of Stewartville will pay the company $34,262.55 to do the work at the Civic Center and about $5,500 more to replace the flooring at the city's public works shop. The Civic Center, home to the Center for Active Adults, will close from Monday, March 5 through Sunday, March 18. Sharon McAtee, site coordinator for the Center for Active Adults, said the center will move its morning and afternoon coffee sessions and other activities to Stewartville United Methodist Church while the Civic Center floor is being replaced...
