City officials are planning ahead for more growth in north Stewartville. The City Council unanimously agreed last week to approve a preliminary plat for the third subdivision of the Rolling Ridge development. The approval gives developer Marv Schumann the go-ahead to begin building the roads and utilities necessary for new homes to be built on 15 lots north of Fareway, Stewartville's grocery store. Mayor Jimmie-John King and councilpersons Dick Uptagrafft, Brent Beyer, and Jeremiah Oeltjen all OK'd a resolution to approve the preliminary plat. Councilperson Craig Anderson, who was out of town on vacation, was absent. Cheryl Roeder, city clerk, said Schumann hopes to apply for the final plat for the development by midsummer...
