Stewartville's firefighters, family members and friends did their part for the American Lung Association on Saturday, Feb. 24. Four firefighters and 15 others climbed 31 floors, or 680 steps, at the U.S. Bank Plaza in Minneapolis to raise a total of $6,197.11 for the Lung Association, which will use the funds for patient education, research and advocacy. Firefighters who took part in the annual Fight for Air Climb, and the amounts each raised, included Lisa Jelinek, $671; Jeff Olson, $553; Nathan Petrich, $253; and Dan Swanson, $100. Tanner Olson, Jeff Olson's son, also wore fire gear for the climb and raised $155. The Stewartville Fire and Rescue team placed second in the race in terms of total time and fourth in fundraising among 117 teams that took part...
