Incumbent Matt Flynn and challenger John Helmers are the candidates for District 4 Olmsted County commissioner. Flynn, who has held the seat since 1997, has worked on his family's farm since attending Winona State University and Waseca College and earning a degree in agriculture through the Waseca program. Helmers, who earned his Minnesota professional engineering license while working as the civil engineer for Olmsted County, now hopes to serve the County in a different capacity.
