"Joseph": an ancient story about forgiveness

Audiences will enjoy the variety of musical numbers when Stewartville Community Theatre presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Stewartville Performing Arts Center beginnng this Friday, Aug. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
So says Aaron Rocklyn, the play's director, who's excited about using modern music and humor to tell an ancient story about the power of forgiveness.
"Many people are going to know the basic story, but there will be a different type of music for each song," Rocklyn said. "There will be one scene with country-western music, another with Calypso music, and the Pharoah is like Elvis with 1950s rock and roll. There's such a variety of ways to tell the story when you jump around like that..."
