Thanks to the generosity of local and area businesses and individuals, Stewartville Area First Response is back in service.
Vance Swisher, fire chief, thanked those who donated masks, face shields, hand sanitizer and more.
In a recent letter addressed to Stewartville area residents, Swisher, Lisa Jelinek, EMS director, and Schimmel wrote that due to state and national shortages brought on by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Stewartville First Response didn't have enough personal protection equipment (PPE) to appropriately protect the community and local first responders...
