After working from home four weeks to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Margaret Nelson and her three employees at State Farm Insurance are happy to be back in their office on Main Street in downtown Stewartville. Even after Gov. Walz declared insurance offices essential as he issued his stay-at-home order in March, Nelson and her workers decided to serve their customers from home anyway. "We've been (back in the office) for two weeks since the stay-at-home order was lifted," Nelson said. "For the safety of the community, our customers and our employees, we decided to work from home for four weeks." Nelson and her employees kept busy even as they worked from their houses...
