The city of Stewartville has won its legal battle with the owners of the Southern Hills and Northridge manufactured home park.
In January 2020, the Stewartville City Council unanimously denied Sun Communities' (Sun ACQ, LLC) plan to add 300 lots to the 450-lot park.
Shortly thereafter, attorneys representing Sun Communities sued the city, alleging the city unlawfully refused to allow Sun to develop an existing manufactured housing community in northwest Stewartville.
Last week, Olmsted County Judge Joseph Chase dismissed the lawsuit...
