Having recently ended its downtown redevelopment program, the city of Stewartville's Economic Development Authority is discussing bringing back a similar plan in the near future.
The EDA, at its regular monthly meeting last week, continued discussing its newly proposed program, designed to improve the aesthetic appeal of underutilized or blighted properties in the city.
At its March meeting a month earlier, the EDA voted 6-0 to bring an end to its then-current program, which encouraged property owners to redevelop those same kinds of properties...
