The Stewartville Public Library's Activities to Go initiative has been a big hit with local and area residents.
Beginning in early June, the Library offered one free kit per week to school-age children, one kit every two weeks to preschool children, and one kit per month to teenagers and adults in June, July and August.
As of last week, the kits were very popular.
"Two hundred seventy of 280 kits have been claimed already," Nate Deprey, Library director, told the City Council last week. "It has been gangbusters."
