National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live, will be held in Stewartville on Tuesday, Aug. 3. National Night Out is coming to Stewartville on Tuesday, Aug. 3.
Jason Owen, Stewartville's community oriented policing (COPS) deputy, says the event is designed to unite local residents and the law enforcement community.
"The goal is to build relationships to make our communities safer," he said.
Residents who get to know their neighbors at events such as National Night Out are more likely to watch out for them, Owen indicated...
