After listening to a variety of questions from Fifth Avenue Southeast residents last week, including the need for sidewalks on both sides of the street, city leaders have agreed to move forward with plans to fix a portion of the street in 2023. The City Council, after a Jan. 11 public hearing at the Civic Center, unanimously approved an ordinance ordering the improvements and preparation of plans for the 2023 capital improvement project...
