City leaders have hired two companies to repair Stewartville's streets in 2022. Pearson Bros. Inc., of Hanover, Minn. will chip seal the city's streets for $48,476.70, or $1.83 per square yard. Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, the other bidder for the chip sealing work, offered to do the job for $75,536.70, or $2.85 per square yard. Elcor Construction of Rochester will fill cracks for $6.74 per pound. Fahrner Asphalt Sealers offered to do the same work for $8.10 per pound.
