Andrew Forliti has given the city of Stewartville an "A" on its financial report card. Forliti, audit principal at Smith Schafer & Associates, LTD, of Rochester, presented the certified public accounting firm's audit of the city's 2021 finances to the City Council last Tuesday, May 10. Smith Schafer gave the city an unmodified "clean" opinion for 2021, which provides "reasonable but not absolute assurance that (the city's) finances are free of material misstatement."
