Erin Olson said the donation is the family’s way to thank the pool staff for providing swimming lessons to Logan, who was 18 months old when he fell into a local retention pond and nearly drowned in April 2021. City officials said the pool will open to the public on Monday, June 6, with open swim from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., family swim from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and open swim again from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Darwin (DJ) and Erin Olson have given a special gift to the Stewartville Pool. Thankful their son Logan, 2 1/2, is learning how to swim there, the Olsons have given the pool a water table, a fun way for children to improve their fine motor skills, learn how to share and improve their imaginations. Logan was 18 months old when he fell into a local retention pond and nearly drowned on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Stewartville first responders, the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service and Olmsted County deputies responded.
