Fourth graders at Bear Cave Intermediate School, led by teacher Lynn Bussan, researched hurricanes for a science project and raised funds to help an elementary school in Texas recently damaged by Hurricane Harvey. The students raised $1,116.39, which was sent to Gilbert J. Mircovich Elementary School in Ingleside, Texas, a building badly damaged by the hurricane.
A few weeks ago, Lynn Bussan and her students discussed natural disasters in their science class at Bear Cave Intermediate School. With hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria causing untold damage in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico, Bussan and her students decided to focus on learning more about the huge tropical storms...
