Hundreds of Stewartville High School students ate doughnuts that filled their stomachs and warmed their hearts last week. Brett Stecher of Stewartville, owner and chef of Lanesboro Pastry Shoppe, made 662 doughnuts, pastries, cookies and muffins for the SHS students early Thursday morning, Oct. 11. Students paid $1 each for a sweet treat, with the proceeds going to the family of Rachel Harberts, a teacher at Blooming Prairie Elementary School who was killed when her car was rear-ended by an SUV driven by a 24-year-old man along Highway 14 in Claremont...
