Kailee Malone is an "A" student in more ways than one.
Malone, a senior at Stewartville High School, has been named a AAA winner for Minnesota Region 1A for 2019-20.
The award recognizes her for her excellence in academics, athletics and the arts.
The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) sponsors the AAA Award, established in 1988. To qualify for the honor, a student must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, participate in MSHSL-sponsored athletics and fine arts, and abide by the MSHSL code of conduct.
Malone and Gabe Jones, seniors at SHS, were named the 2019-20 Stewartville High School recipients of the MSHSL AAA Award. The two were featured in a front-page story and photo in the Stewartville STAR's Tuesday, Jan. 21 edition. Malone was subsequently selected as a subsection AAA winner and was later picked to represent Region 1A...
