Ag fair gives closeup view of agriculture
Maddie Harreld, a freshman at Stewartville High School in her first year in FFA, left, holds a chicken for a group of fascinated 4-year-old preschoolers from the Central Education Center at the SHS Ag Fair on Wednesday morning, Feb. 26. The preschoolers include, from far right, David Hepner, Emily Mannix, Ashlynn Anderson, Brody Mueller, Mila Rowe, Owen Schulte, Ava Monty and Berkley Liffrig. Maddie said the Ag Fair is special because it gives children a chance to learn about agriculture at a very young age. “I think it’s fun to have the kids come and to get them started early,” she said.
