Fareway shoppers who rounded up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar between Monday, Jan. 27 and Saturday, Feb. 8 contributed a total of $967.75 to this year’s Food for Kidz, enough to assemble and package 6,451 meals. Food for Kidz will be held at the Stewartville Civic Center on Saturday, April 4 beginning at 10 a.m. Robert Hruska, grocery manager of Fareway, seated at left, presents the $967.75 check to Rita Oswald of the Stewartville Kiwanis Club, seated at right. Looking forward to assembling and packaging meals for the poor, the Stewartville Kiwanis Club needs some assistance.
