After reviewing COVID-19 data for the district's communities and buildings, Stewartville School District officials have determined to switch to exclusive distance learning for K-12 students beginning Wednesday, Dec. 2 and continuing through Friday, Jan. 15.
Belinda Selfors, superintendent, informed Stewartville School District families of the change in a letter dated Friday, Nov. 20. In the letter, she explained the district made the switch in consulation with officials from Olmsted County Public Health.
"We understand how challenging this transition and situation will be for our staff and school community," Selfors wrote. "We believe this decision is being made to prioritize the health and safety of our staff, students, families, and those in our communities..."
