Shirley Carlson has earned a special award from the Stewartville Community Education Department. Carlson, a longtime Stewartville resident, has accepted the department's 35th annual Community Service Award. Hailey Liffrig, community education director, and members of the Community Education Advisory Board congratulated Carlson at a dessert gathering at the Down Under on Tuesday evening, May 24. Liffrig said she's grateful for Carlson's service to Stewartville, which included being a member of the Community Education Advisory Board...
