Commenting on Stewartville School District residents' upcoming vote on a referendum to improve the district's schools, Superintendent Belinda Selfors says the proposed projects are essential and directly focused on children. On the Aug. 9 ballot, Question 1 will be a $30,200,000 improvement proposal and Question 2 an $8,325,000 plan. It won't be possible for voters to approve the less-expensive Question 2 while turning down Question 1, Selfors said. "In order for Question 2 to pass, Question 1 must pass first," she said...
