Belinda Selfors, superintendent, other school officials and members of the Stewartville School Board toured The Sandlot, the Stewartville School District’s recently completed facility that includes a concession stand, bathrooms and storage space, on Monday evening, July 25. Project leaders who led the tour include, from left, Sarah Larson, concessions coordinator; Chad Schmitz, president of the Stewartville Diamond Club; Ryan Ramaker of Kraus-Anderson, the construction manager for the project; and Tamsen Leimer, treasurer of the Diamond Club. Leimer said The Sandlot is ready to open for 2023.
The Sandlot is virtually completed and scheduled to open for next year's baseball and softball seasons. Belinda Selfors, superintendent, and members of the School Board gathered last week to tour the new facility, which includes a concession stand, fully operational bathrooms connected to city water and sewer services, and storage space. Tamsen Leimer, treasurer of the Stewartville Diamond Club, told the School Board last week The Sandlot will be ready to open at the High School baseball and softball complex after Olmsted County inspectors complete their review...
