Soccer Booster Club meeting The Stewartville Soccer Booster Club will meet in the SHS Cafeteria on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. All parents of girls and boys players in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend.
SHS Hall of Fame tickets The Stewartville High School Hall of Fame banquet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Stewartville American Legion. Tickets for the event are available online at the Stewartville High School Hall of Fame facebook page or at C & M Screenprinting and the Stewartville STAR.

Kime named All-Academic Karissa Kime, a 2016 SHS grad and a sophomore on the Luther College volleyball team, has been named to the 2017 Iowa Conference Fall Sports All-Academic Team. She is majoring in management, and has a cumulative GPA of 3.52. To qualify for all-academic team honors, a student-athlete must be in their sophomore, junior or senior year of eligibility and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater on a 4.0 scale. Kime is the daughter of Bradley and Pamela Kime of Stewartville.
Rogers is MCAC Player of Week Tara Rogers, a 2016 SHS grad and a sophomore outside hitter on the Rochester Community and Technical College volleyball team, was named MCAC South Division All-Around Player-of-the-Week for the third time this season. She helped the Yellowjackets secure the No. 3 seed in the NJCAA Region XIIIA tournament in week 10. Rogers recorded 13 kills, 8 digs against Minnesota West, 15 kills, 19 digs against nationally-ranked M State and 20 kills, 7 digs against another nationally-ranked opponent, Ridgewater College.
Youth wrestling starts Nov. 20 The Stewartville Youth Wrestling program will start its 2017 season on Monday, Nov. 20 in the SHS Wrestling Room (by middle school gym). Practice times for pre-K through second grade will be from 6-7 p.m., with grades 3-6 practicing from 6:30-8 p.m. Practices are every Monday evening for five weeks. These five weeks will be spent developing skills and strategies for wrestling. Wrestling can provide your child with many life skills, including responsibility, self-confidence, integrity, discipline and a strong work ethic. All the athlete needs for practice is a T-shirt, shorts or sweatpants and a pair of wrestling shoes or tennis shoes.
