SHS Hall of Fame tickets The Stewartville Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Stewartville American Legion. Tickets for the event are available online at the Stewartville High School Hall of Fame facebook page or at C & M Screenprinting and the Stewartville STAR.
Football Booster Club meeting Players and parents are encouraged to attend the end-of-the-season awards ceremony, recognizing football players in grades 9-12, in the PAC on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 6:30 p.m. Prior to the awards ceremony, the Stewartville Football Booster Club will meet in SHS room 239 on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. All parents of players in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend. Youth wrestling starts Nov. 20 The Stewartville Youth Wrestling program will start its 2017 season on Monday, Nov. 20 in the SHS Wrestling Room (by middle school gym). Practice times for pre-K through second grade will be from 6-7 p.m., with grades 3-6 practicing from 6:30-8 p.m. Practices are every Monday evening for five weeks. These five weeks will be spent developing skills and strategies for wrestling. Wrestling can provide your child with many life skills, including responsibility, self-confidence, integrity, discipline and a strong work ethic. All the athlete needs for practice is a T-shirt, shorts or sweatpants and a pair of wrestling shoes or tennis shoes. Rogers is All-State second team The postseason awards keep piling up for RCTC volleyball outside hitter Tara Rogers, who was named to the All-State Second Team last week. Rogers helped lead the Jackets to the regional semifinals, an overall record of 16-15, and a 10-3 conference mark. Rogers was also named to the Southern Division All-Sportsmanship team.
