The young, inexperienced and rebuilding Stewartville boys tennis team is looking for its first win after starting the season with three section losses. The Tigers lost 7-0 at Rochester Lourdes on April 13, fell 6-1 hosting Winona Cotter on April 15 and were shut out 7-0 at Lake City on April 20.
"We've been tested by three talented teams," Tiger coach Kelly Manley explained. "Being inexperienced, we're learning about our areas of strength and where we need to grow. Our footwork is solid, but we need to work on our mechanics and consistency."
"In some spots we are hitting our volleys well and in others we need improvement," Manley continued. "This team has the potential to grow and improve throughout the season..."
