Track places in top three at HVL meet

Double winner Peyton Byrne
heaved the shot put to a first-place
landing of 52-1 and launched the
top throw of 139-1 in the discus to
lead the Stewartville boys track
and field team to 162 points and a
second-place finish at the eightteam
HVL Championship meet in
Cannon Falls on May 14.
Meghan Urban set a personal
best (PB) of 9-0 to capture first
place in the pole vault. Haylie
Strum, with a PB time of 46.26 in
the 300m hurdles, and Audrey
Shindelar, with a PB leap of 5-0 in
the high jump, placed first and
both Strum and Shindelar joined
Taylor Klement and Avery
Spencer on the fastest 4x400m
relay (4:12.50), as the event winners
led the Tiger girls to 115
points and a third-place team finish
at the conference tournament...
