Karen Lea (Schneckloth) Nolte, 67, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Methodist Campus. Karen was born on Nov. 22, 1955 in Rochester to Myron and Melba (Schmidt) Schneckloth. Karen graduated from Mayo High School. She was a life-long nurse which included working at Mayo Clinic, Rochester School District, VA Clinic in Rochester, and in-home hospice care. She married the love of her life, Jeffrey Nolte, on Aug. 21, 1982. Karen loved reading, going fishing, camping, traveling, gardening, her flowers, going to craft shows, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a strong faith and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Karen is survived by her husband, Jeff Nolte; children, Jessica (Scott) Morgan of Racine, and Jared (Jeshila) Nolte of Stewartville; grandchildren, Makayla, Taylor, Carter, Cashton, Bristyn, and Crue; siblings, Carey (Janet) Favorite, Mark (Vicki) Schneckloth, Kay (Roger) Corcoran, and Lori (Dean) Hayes; and several nieces and nephews. Karen is preceded in death by her fathers, Myron Schneckloth and William Sisson; and mother, Melba Sisson. Per Karen's wishes there will be no service held.
