It was a special day for grandparents and great-grandparents at the Central Education Center on Friday, April 21.
Scores of grandfathers and grandmothers spent time with their grandchildren, currently preschoolers in the Stewartville Early Childhood Family Education (SECFE) program.
Central hosted Grandparents Week April 17-21, which culminated with Grandparents Day at the Central cafeteria on Friday, April 21.
Rose Kinsley of Rochester, seated at a table in Central's cafeteria, helped her 4-year-old grandson Maddox, of Stewartville, make a necklace.
Kinsley, retired from teaching seventh graders and fifth graders in the Plainview-Elgin-Millville School District, said she's very impressed with Stewartville's schools, including what's happening with the district's preschool program. She specifically praised SECFE's Grandparents Day...
