Thousands of spectators from across southeastern Minnesota and beyond are expected to line up three-, four- and five-deep along the streets of Stewartville to watch the local Chamber of Commerce's annual Independence Day Parade.
This year's procession, scheduled to start on Tuesday, July 4 at 6:30 p.m., should once again attract a huge audience. Traditionally, nearly 100 units walk, march or roll past the throngs of people gathered near the curbs, many of whom place chairs or blankets at specific spots along the parade route as early as a full day before the event begins...
