Accompanied by rumbling thunder and flashes of lightning, heavy rain dampened the official opening of the Stewartville Citywide Garage Sale last Thursday morning, May 11.
Residents who continued their sales despite the wet weather moved their goods under temporary roofs or transferred many items into well-lit garages.
