Focused on the health and safety of students and staff, the School Board reviewed the final draft of the Stewartville School District's COVID Mitigation and Response Plan last week.
The plan outlines how school officials will respond to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) at Stage 1, when the active COVID-19 case rate in the district's classrooms is 0 percent to 2.75 percent; at Stage 2, when the active case rate is 3 percent to 4.75 percent; or at Stage 3, when the active case rate exceeds 5 percent.
Belinda Selfors, superintendent, shared the plan with the School Board, saying the active case rates at all three levels may be applied to an individual grade level, an individual school and/or the district overall...
